Crow’s feet are clusters of tiny wrinkles and fine lines that form around the outer corners of the eyes.
These lines form generally from squinting, laughing, and other expressions that tighten the circular muscles that surround your eye.
The eyes are often the first place to reveal the signs of aging, as the skin is thinner and more prone to creasing.
Types
There are two main types of crow’s feet:
Dynamic: These are produced by the actions of underlying muscles. Frowning, smiling, and squinting. These are only visible when there is an expression or the muscle is moving.
Static: These are present at all times, even during sleep. These lines are actual lines present on the skin resulting from a long history of expression and movement as well as sun damage.
Causes
The main cause of Crow’s Feet is the decrease in the amounts of collagen and elastin (proteins that are responsible for our skin’s elasticity) in the skin as we age.
Other causes are:

When the crow’s feet are considered apparent it’s best to stop the action of the muscle by injecting Botox into the area to reduce movement and stop the progression of the problem.
However, if the crow’s feet very obvious. Then a combination of Botox with CO2 Laser, Plasmage, Fillers or HIFU might be the only solution to regaining a more youthful look.

The best way to postpone the appearance of these lines is to use an SPF to protect your skin from harmful UV rays, avoid smoking, drink plenty of water and follow a good skincare routine, particularly one with a deep acting moisturizer.

Consider getting your eyes checked as poor vision may cause you to squint in order to see better. Many times people use the same muscle when they cannot see, so new glasses might be a good idea to stop you from squinting.

If you don’t use sunglasses we would suggest you start using them as you naturally squint your eyes if it’s too bright out and sunglasses protect not only your eyes from sun damage but also the skin that surrounds it.
